Kong API Gateway and AI Gateway
Route API traffic through a self-hosted Kong community edition gateway with an optional AI proxy starter workflow.
Sold by Code Creator on AWS Marketplace
Built for your workflow
Platform engineers, developers and SaaS teams can centralize API routing on infrastructure in their own AWS account. The included demo route offers an initial check before configuring upstream services and gateway policies.
What’s included
- Kong community edition with a Docker Compose and PostgreSQL deployment.
- First-boot public-IP landing page and a working demo proxy route.
- AI Proxy starter helper for an OpenAI-compatible provider using your own API key.
- Localhost-only Admin API and helpers for status, logs, restart, backup and configuration export.
What Code Creator adds
Code Creator integrates the gateway stack, first-boot discovery and demo route. Command-line helpers cover routine operations and the AI starter configuration, reducing the initial wiring work for API and optional model-provider routing.
From launch to first use
- Launch the AMI and check the public-IP landing page after first boot.
- Connect over SSH and verify the supplied demo route using the listing's instructions.
- Add your own upstream routes; configure the optional AI helper only after supplying your provider credentials.
Use the current Marketplace usage instructions for the full launch procedure and required instance settings.
Before you launch
No public administration GUI or bundled AI provider key is included. Use SSH tunneling when remote Admin API access is needed. External AI requests are sent to your configured provider and may incur separate charges; this is not a bundled local inference service or an enterprise-edition entitlement.
